Whatever amount of “official” programming you want to participate in is up to you, but we hope that you are inspired to embrace the experience as much as possible. We are here for community and a chance to recharge our batteries. The bulk of Beyond Adopteen’s Adult Adoptee Retreat workshops and keynotes will run on Saturday, with excursions and conversation/networking opportunities scattered throughout the weekend. Throughout the Retreat, there will be opportunities to sign up for various, optional group excursions (some in the morning, some in the afternoon) and some excursions may overlap with workshop times. Lucky for us, we are burdened with an overabundance of things to explore in and around Seattle and Bremerton. We appreciate your understanding.īeyond Adopteen Adult Adopteen Retreat is a build-your-own-adventure type retreat. We trust that your partner/friend/family member has passed all the vibe checks, but we will not be assigning mixed company shared rooms. If you are traveling with a non-attendee (partner/friend/family member, etc.) and opt to stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites, please only select “Private Room” when registering. If enough are requested, 4-person rooms will be assigned by default to same gender attendees. If you would prefer a room to yourself, or if you are traveling with a non-attendee (partner/friend/family, etc.), please select “Private Room” when registering.Īlthough the idea of sharing a bed with a stranger may sound, well, strange to some, we know that it offers a good option for individuals who are hoping to save on budget. By default, all hotel rooms will be assigned to two same gender attendees per room (1 person per queen bed).
We will book all rooms for attendees who opt to stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. No added room booking step is needed after registration. Partners, family, and friends traveling with attendees are welcome to stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites with the same group rate but will not be able to attend the program.
